Madonsela: Top ANC member leaked letter to Zuma

Johannesburg - Public Protector Thuli Madonsela on Monday claimed a senior ANC member leaked her letter to President Jacob Zuma to the media.

"She has been advised confidentially that it is a senior politician and member of the ruling party that leaked the confidential letter to the media, conduct she considers improper," her spokesperson Kgalalelo Masibi said in a statement.

"The public protector reiterates her appeal to the media to refrain from peddling confidential documents released dishonestly as this tends to shift the focus from real issues."

The African National Congress was not immediately available for comment.

Madonsela's office was reacting to statements by the ANC and some of its alliance partners which she called "extraordinary and unwarranted attacks" on her.

Madonsela reportedly wrote to Zuma in a recent letter that he was second-guessing her recommendations following her investigation into the R246m spent on security upgrades to his Nkandla homestead.

In her report, "Secure in Comfort", Madonsela recommended that Zuma repay money spent on upgrades not related to security, such as the swimming pool, cattle kraal, amphitheatre, and visitors' centre.

In his 20-page reply to her report, Zuma indicated Police Minister Nathi Nhleko needed to determine if he should repay any of the money spent on security upgrades at the homestead.

In her letter to Zuma, Madonsela wrote: "I am concerned that the decision you have made regarding the police minister gives him power he does not have under law, which is to review my decision taken in pursuit of the powers of administrative scrutiny I am given... by the Constitution."

What are we gonna do with Zuma's current group of ANC losers, really? Should the whole country be sacrificed just to save Zuma! Citizens, I think it's high time to go up in arms now!!! We don't owe Zuma anything. He owes us! What special breed does he think he is?

That does not change the fact that the parasite should pay back the money.

Wouldn't be the first time, remember the occasions when this weak-excuse-of-a-president has set up and lied about even his own friends? Read Mzilikaziwa wa Afrika's "Nothing left to steal". Why would this slimeball of a president and those close to him not do the same to Thuli Madonsela.

There it is again. They deliberately leak her documents to the media so that they can make a mountain of it later on. I would not be surprised if Blade has a hand in it judging by the way he has been blowing his trumpet about it in the press.

I think the idea is divert focus and attention and distort the real facts, but who will the ANC fool in South Africa during this time of our lives. Leaking the letter to the media will not repay the money the President owes to the public coffer. Haibooooooo.............

One of those was Bulelani Ngcuka who was blatantly set up and lied about by the president personally. Remember this is the same person who said in that notorious case that he "made sex" with a women who had been raised from childhood in his household. Slimeball.
