Washington – US Airways has called the
highly inappropriate and graphic tweet sent out by their official handle and honest mistake and confirmed that they would not be firing the person responsible for it.
Gawker reports that a US Airways spokesperson said an employee copied a link to the photo to report it, but then accidentally pasted it into a reply to a customer’s tweet. Major facepalm moment, if ever there was one.
The spokesperson explained that they captured it and flagged it as inappropriate as soon as they saw it, and said that they are in the midst of reviewing their social media processes to ensure nothing similar happens again in the future.
