Follow the Obamas on SA trip

Cape Town - Who better to travel vicariously through than the First family of the United States.  President Barack Obama and his family are on an official State visit to Africa from June 26 to July 3 -  with stopovers in Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania.

As the trip kicked off, the White House announced it has just launched an Instagram account.

It stated on its Instagram profile, "We’re excited to welcome President Barack Obama to Instagram! We look forward to seeing how President Obama uses Instagram to give folks a visual sense of what happens in the everyday life of the President of the United States.

While the following was posted on the White House Tumbler

"Introducing a new way to see unfiltered moments from life at the White House (don’t worry, we won’t always go #nofilter)."

They've already posted an instagram video of their arrival in Senegal.

If you want to see what they've been getting up while here follow them on these social media platforms or check out these hashtags for POTUS and FLOTUS. Otherwise the full itinerary is on the White House Website.
