French women declare topless tanning totally passé

Cape Town – They started the trend back in the 1960s, when Bridgette Bardot bared her breasts during a Riviera sunbathing session, but now French women are kind of over topless tanning.

Huffington Post reports that a recent survey conducted by Elle magazine revealed that only 2% of young French women would prefer sunbathing sans a bikini top.

Apparently their sudden modesty springs from a concern over skin cancer and unwillingness to come across as being risqué.
