OR… you could go surfing.
MSN reports that based on its success over the past few summers Munich Airport Centre will once again feature a fun wave pool for layover passengers to splash around in from July 30 to August 24.
Best of all? It’s completely free, including the use of a surfboard and wetsuit!
Due to popular demand, however, advance registration is required at www.munich-airport.de/surfandstyle.

Once you’ve booked your spot, you’re well away to having a 45-minute session along with nine other board riding enthusiasts.
How does it work? Pumps create a standing wave 10 meters wide and 1.5 meters high in the 200 square meter basin. Twice a day, beginners slots will be offered with a support bar in place. Professional surfing instructors will be on hand during the free sessions to watch and offer tips as needed.
This is the fourth year surfing has been an option at the Munich Airport Center, a public space that also hosts an annual beach volleyball tournament and a Christmas Market.
