Two kayakers who were recently exploring the waters just off the coast of Puerto Madryn in Argentina recently got so close to a pod of whales that one actually lifted them out of the water.

Close encounters of this kind with whales are highly controversial, as vessels are generally not allowed to get closer than 100 metres to these gentle giants.
The Mirror reports that Argentine officials are preparing to clamp down on tourists who they say are putting their lives in danger going whale watching.
The local environment minister in Chubut, Jose Maria Musmeci, said that they continually warned people not to go too close to whales, as it poses a danger for both humans and animals.
