The sudden firing of Nene is unacceptable - respected businessman

Managing Director of the SA Ubuntu Foundation and former banker, Kevin Chaplin, tells us why he is "shattered" by the firing of finance minister Nhlanhla Nene.

Chaplin says, "we've got so many challenges in this country [...] and now for the president to just fire the Minister of Finance like that is just unacceptable."

On the appointment of David van Rooyen as the new finance minister, Chaplin asks, "does he have the credentials?" as he expresses his dissatisfaction.
