WATCH: Goods looted from moving truck

Pedestrians in Butterworth, Eastern Cape were on Tuesday caught on camera looting a soft drinks truck.

The incident was shot by a bystander in the Msobomvu township.

Butterworth police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said they have identified some of the culprits but are waiting on the driver to open a case.

Manatha added that similar incidents were rife ten years ago. He said having more police on the ground has helped curb the crime.

"We decided to have our men and women in blue on the ground to prevent such things," he said.
