Bucharest - A military helicopter crashed on Friday in central Romania, killing eight people and injuring two, the national emergency service said.
The cause of the accident near the Transylvanian city of Sibiu was not immediately clear.
Defence Minister Mircea Dusea said that the aircraft was taking part in a military exercise. Romania has been a Nato member since 2004.
