Autopsy shows Missouri teen repeatedly shot

Ferguson - Michael Brown, the black teen whose killing by a Missouri police officer has prompted more than a week of unrest, was shot at least six times, pathologists retained by his family said on Monday.

"Six bullets struck, and two may have re-entered" the 18-year-old's body, said Michael Baden, tasked by Brown's family and lawyers to conduct an independent examination on his remains.

One of the bullets hit the top of Brown's head, another struck his eye, while others were located on his right arm, Baden told a press conference in the St Louis suburb of Ferguson.

"All of the gunshot wounds could have been survivable, except the one at the top of the head," he said.

Baden said he had found no evidence of an alleged struggle between Brown and the officer, who is said to have been hurt in the incident, but added that he had not examined the policeman.

The absence of gunpowder on Brown's body indicated that the muzzle of the gun could have been as close as a foot or two away, or 30 feet away, he added.

The respected former New York City chief medical examiner stressed his findings were preliminary and that he need to see X-rays taken by local coroners just before the bullets were removed Brown's corpse.

Brown's death on a sidewalk in broad daylight on 9 August prompted often violent protests in Ferguson, which has an African-American majority but a mainly white police force.

Three autopsies are under way: one by St Louis County authorities, another by the Brown family and a third by the US federal government, which is investigating possible civil rights violations.

It takes one shot to immobilze an average person, maybe two to immobilize a very tough guy. Six means expending ones anger on someone. Being America, the cop is going to come out tops like in many such cases before,

The witness accounts say he was shot multiple times while he was running away from the cop? But the autopsy says the bullet wounds were all in the front of the body. That does not make any sense. Was there another shooter? If the cop was such a bad shooter that he could not hit center mass on the first four shots, but managed to hit the suspects right arm with all of the first four shots, how did the cop manage to land the last two shots into the victims head.

That is what should happen to the criminals attacking South Africa's public. Make sure, might as well empty the mag!

When are Whites and Blacks going to co-exist? Let me rephrase this, when are White police men going to exercise restraint when they are arresting or dealing with a black person? When real, just asking. I am not saying Michael Brwon and his friend were right. I am asking if the two teenagers were white, would the policeman have fired six bullets into a defenseless teen? Would he have confrobted them for walking in a street? Would the facts be different? What if the police officer was black and Michael Brown was a white teenager? Could we have a different outcome? I watched the develpoments on CNN last night. My conclusion is that race is playing out more than reasoning. Whites are supporting the police officer and blacks are on the side of the teenage. It is a shameful show real. My point here is that lets respect life, lets respect each other.
