Bangkok - The Chinese military unveiled a new armed drone equipped with wall-penetrating radar, a news report said on Monday.
The plane, dubbed Caihong 5 (Rainbow 5), was said to "change the game in air strikes", according to the Chinese government, as quoted by the South China Morning Post.
"Terrorists have their hideouts. They can hide in a bush or in a house. That requires us to go through walls and identify objects inside," the drone's chief designer Ou Zhongming said.
Rainbow 5 features a wingspan similar to the United States' Reaper drone and is capable of carrying six missiles and staying in the air for more than 30 hours, the report said.
Wall-penetrating radar is also reportedly used by the US military.
