Conjoined Brazilian twin dies after surgery

Rio de Janeiro - A 5-year-old Brazilian boy has died after surgery to separate him from his conjoined twin brother, media reported on Saturday.

Heitor and Arthur Rocha, who were joined at the hip and shared many internal organs including intestines and a bladder, underwent 15 hours of highly risky separation surgery Tuesday into Wednesday.

But Arthur died overnight on Friday after going into cardiac arrest, Globo reported.
