Interpol urges world response to Iraq extremists

Paris - Interpol says the killing of an American journalist kidnapped in Syria shows the need for a co-ordinated international effort against the stream of foreign fighters joining extremists in the Middle East.

The international policy agency said in a statement on Thursday that James Foley's death shows the "depravity" of the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq and "highlights the ongoing plight of other innocent people across the region".

France-based Interpol is particularly concerned that a man who appears in a video of Foley's death may be British.

Interpol says this highlights "the need for a multilateral response against the terror threat posed by radicalised transnational fighters travelling to conflict zones in the Middle East".

More than a thousand radicals from Europe have joined militant fighters in Syria and Iraq.

Wow Interpol. Have you listened to yourselves lately. James Foley's death shows the "depravity" of the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq and "highlights the ongoing plight of other innocent people across the region". Lets take away James Foley and insert The innocent Palestinian children and women's death shows the 'depravity' of Israeli/Zionist group in Israel and highlights the ongoing plight of other innocent children and women across the region.

"More than a thousand radicals from Europe have joined militant fighters in Syria and Iraq" - Probably the muzzies in London who chased my friend from a London street belonging to the public for smoking which is allowed. The whole Europe is under danger. I wonder how many muzzies from SA have also joined forces. It is in their religious beliefs after all.

Just don't allow them back into your or any civilised country. Let them stay there and die in the sand.

I do not fear for Israel - of all countries they know exactly who their enemy is and how to confront them. Maybe they will in the end save our civilization, despite their vilification at the hand of their so called friends.

The foreign fighters seem to be from Europe. Europeans let them in hoping multi cultural societies would work. Now when these people are finished in the Middle East ,guess what ,they returning to Europe with the same ideas of what they tried to achieve in Iraq. Soon there will be a mosque in place of Westminster Abbey
