Israel vows to destroy Hamas tunnels

Jerusalem - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the military will dismantle the Hamas tunnel network in the Gaza Strip "with or without a cease-fire."

Netanyahu said on Thursday he will not accept any truce that won't allow Israel to complete its mission of destroying the sophisticated tunnel network, which has been used to carry out deadly attacks inside Israel.

Israel launched its air campaign on 8 July to stop unrelenting rocket fire from Gaza toward Israel. It expanded the operation with a ground offensive on 17 July with the primary purpose of blocking Hamas infiltration attempts through the tunnels.

Imaginary tunnels are just an excuse for genocide.

Ebola is more important news. Stop reporting on these people, they don't care if we all die from Ebola.

Tunnels are there Hamas has to resort to guerrilla tactics! That said, adding 16000 reservist to an already impressive offensive force backed by unrivaled air support! Does seem a bit like genocide?

In the process of destroying tunnels, are you allowed to kill civilians?

Major correction Farakaan, it certainly doesn't say anything like that in the quran. If anyone claims so, then please quote the verse number

Once the offensive has run its course and the "tunnels" destroyed, won't the tunnels just be rebuilt / dug? Sounds a bit like trying to keep the tide out. Military offensive might win the battle but will certainly not win the war or resolve the long term conflict of the combatants.
