Amman - Jordan said on Thursday that it was still holding an Iraqi prisoner whose release had purportedly been demanded by ISIS and would only consider releasing her once it had proof that a Jordanian pilot held by the insurgents was still alive.
Jordan's government spokesperson Mohammad al-Momani also said Jordan was co-ordinating with Japanese authorities on an effort to secure the release of Japanese hostage Kenji Goto, a veteran journalist also being held by the Islamic State.
"We asked for evidence that the pilot is still alive and we have not received anything yet, but we've insisted," Momani told reporters.
