San Antonio - A desk sergeant at the US Army's Fort Sam Houston says the San Antonio post has been put on lockdown for an undisclosed reason.
The official says the lockdown began on Sunday evening, and it's undetermined how long it will last. He declined to give his name due to department policy.
According to the city of San Antonio's website, the base was established in 1910 — the ninth-oldest Army installation in the US Fort Sam Houston now encompasses 1 210ha hectares and is home of military medicine and part of Joint Base San Antonio.
