US sends 130 more military advisors to Iraq - Hagel

San Diego - The United States has sent 130 more military advisors to northern Iraq to assess the scope of the humanitarian crisis there, US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel said on Tuesday.

"I recommended to the president and the president has authorised me to go ahead and send about 130 new assessment team members up to northern Iraq in the Arbil area to take a closer look and give more in-depth assessment of where we can continue to help," said Hagel.

A US defence official said the temporary additional personnel would also develop other humanitarian assistance options beyond the current airdrop effort in support of displaced Iraqi civilians trapped on Mount Sinjar by Islamic State militants.

Hagel added: "I would also say that this follows the criteria that President Obama has made very clearly that this is not any extension of any role other for the United States than to find ways to assist and help advise the Iraqi security forces.

"As the president has made very clear, we're not going back to Iraq in any of the same combat mission dimensions that we once were in."

The additional personnel comprise Marines and special operations forces, the defence official said.

And there we go again the US has probably an overstock of weapons of mass destruction and the only way to get rid of it to plant the smoking gun wherever they go an rein terror on all and sundry. Together with Israel they are the biggest terrorist state all in the name of piece. (Literally taking a piece of the countries and stealing its resources)

People who critise the US here clearly has no problem with what IS are doing. Chopping off childrens heads, burying them alive etc. Is it because many of those are Christians? At least someone is helping them. We thank God for the US and UK giving aid there.

"We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it's staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!"

..And by "advisors" they probably mean Army Special Forces. About time, time to clean up your mess and wipe IS\ISIS from the face of the earth.

ISIS is not Islamic. Group of militants used by USA to overthrow Assad in Syria.
