US sends food, water, other aid to Iraq

Washington - The US is continuing efforts to get food and water to tens of thousands of people who have been forced from their homes in Iraq.

US Central Command said on Monday that it had conducted a fifth airdrop of food and water for thousands of members of an Iraqi religious minority group known as Yazidis who have been trapped on a mountaintop in northwest Iraq by Sunni militants with the Islamic State group.

The command said US military aircraft have delivered a total of more than 85 000 meals and more than 75 708l of fresh drinking water to the displaced Yazidis.

US agency for international development administrator Rajiv Shah said on Monday that the US has also deployed a disaster response team to Iraq to help distribute humanitarian aid.

It amazes me how in other articles people are so quick to bash USA and come up with conspiracy theories about how USA back ISIS and Hamas and all these other Muslim extreme groups but never do they comments when USA is sending out relief to hundreds of thousands of people that have been displaced by their Muslim brothers... Yet do you see any other Muslim country trying to help out with aid to the people. Do you see any other Muslim country condemning what is happening in Iraq or Palestine or Syria? No... And why are they not helping besides the fact that they are all trying to kill each other because one Muslim is better than the other Muslim, because they actually could not give rat about each other... All the Muslim people that hate the USA so much and have so much to say about them, why don't you get off you fat a$$ and go do something about it? Why don't you stand up and ask why do other countries not try and help besides the US... You do know that if USA did nothing nobody else would do anything and all those people trapped in the hills trying to escape from death by the hands off people they would think are their brothers/countrymen would be dead and the world would look at the US and say why did you do nothing...

Yes David you are right. America has the potential to be a great help to people in need, but they always seem to do a bad thing after they do a good thing. After food and water will be weapons and explosives. They started this whole mess. Dont forget that. The America I love is the land of the free. I suppose that America died a long time ago. Now its just greed.
