Beijing - China's official Xinhua News Agency says the death toll from a strong earthquake in southern Yunnan province has risen to 367.
The news agency says that according to rescuers, 1 881 other people were injured in the quake, which toppled thousands of homes in Ludian, a densely populated county located around 360km northeast of Yunnan's capital, Kunming.
The magnitude-6.1 quake struck at 16:30 at a depth of 10km, according to the US Geological Survey.
