A video of hospital employees forcing newborn babies to dance and referring to them as “mini-Satans” has emerged.

The incident took place at a naval hospital in Jacksonville, Florida in the US.

In the upsetting clip, loud rap music plays in the background as one of the employees lifts the child’s arms and forces him to dance.

People off camera are heard laughing at the scene.

According to Action News Jax, the baby in the video was only a few hours old at the time of the incident.

The accompanying photo, which appears to have been posted online by the perpetrators themselves, also had people up in arms at the way the infants were being handled.

In the picture, one of the employees flashes a middle finger to one of the babies. He captioned the photo: "How I currently feel about these mini Satans."

The video and photo have since gone viral, with viewers calling for action to be taken against those involved.

“We are aware of a video/ photo posted online,” Jeanne Casey, the Public Affairs Officer at Naval Hospital Jacksonville said in a statement.  “It's outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated.”

“We have identified the staff members involved.  They have been removed from patient care and they will be handled by the legal system and military justice.”
