SCHOOLS: Top-notch powerlifter

Helderberg International School proudly congratulates Year 11 learner, Lisa Stander, for her performance at the South African Classic Powerlifting Championships. Lisa smashed not one, but two SA records for dead-lifting in the sub-junior and junior categories, with an impressive lift of 180,5 kg. Her total score of 368 kg and personal best improvements in all three lifts showcases her remarkable dedication and talent. Lisa has earned her SA colours and has qualified to participate in the Commonwealth Games in October, a testament to her hard work and determination. “We couldn’t be prouder of your accomplishments!” the school shared on its Facebook page. “Congratulations on this well-deserved success!”
