She did the impossible with the Longtable on the Pier in Hermanus.
After that it was the Longtable in Vineyards, then the Longtable in Stanford and now she’s doing it again with another Longtable on the Pier with a Viking theme.
The Overberg has a special place in René Hartslief’s heart and she enjoys organising events so it can put this beautiful area on the map.
Her hard work to promote the Overberg paid off and she was recently nominated as a Woman in Media held last weekend. “I am thrilled to announce that I was awarded Woman in Media finalist. Unfortunately I didn’t receive the statue for first prize, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Thank you to everyone for your support and believing in me.”
This month’s Longtable event, which takes place on 27 April, promises to be unforgettable. The event is going to start at 17:00 at the New Harbour, and the ticket price includes a free bottle of wine per couple, a medieval feast by Dré Johnson Incorporated, a performance by That 70’s Band, comprising Lucy Tops, Richard Brokensha, Steven Dennett, Kyle Petersen, Beshara Ornellis and Ray Adam Morgan, as well as prizes for best-dressed.
“It is going to be a lot of fun,” Hartslief declared, “and we are looking forward to seeing all of you there.”
