The Management of Unitra Community Radio (UCR FM) will host a gospel festival at OR Tambo Hall in Mthatha, with the aim of fundraising to revamp the studio of this radio station.

This festival will be hosted on Saturday, August 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 the next morning.

The station manager of UCR FM, Lisa Kulase, confirmed this.

He said that they have three reasons which led them to host this festival.

“We want to ensure that our station goes to people; we are trying to attract business people and to ensure that we are taking our station to people for our numbers to increase,” said Kulase.

According to him, this station has created many programmes that focus on community members. He added that, as UCR FM, they believe that most of the time, people, are doing great things in their areas, but they are not known; that is why they took the decision to come closer to the people.

Kulase said that tickets are available at Checkers and online at Computicket. General tickets cost R250, and purchasing two tickets before July 25 will receive a discount, paying only R400.
