The police in Mothibistad, close to Kuruman in the Northern Cape, are requesting the community’s assistance in locating the family of an unknown boy who was found abandoned at a house in the Magojaneng Village.
The young boy was allegedly left and found inside the bedroom of the house of Koketso Thobega, who said when he woke up on Sunday morning, 14 April, he noticed a child sleeping next to him.
According to Capt. Nomvuyo Makoloi, Thobega does not know the child – nor does he know who the mother of the boy can be.
According to Thobega he does not lock his house, and he suspects that someone entered while he was sleeping and left the boy in the house.
The child is currently at the Mothibistad Police Station.
Anyone with information can call Makoloi on 076-380-2097.
