A cautionary advisory is in place urging individuals to steer clear of the Sardinia Bay vicinity, given the current uncontrollable nature of the fire.

The spokesperson for Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Mtubanzi Mniki, has confirmed that fires in Sardinia Bay have led to the complete closure of Victoria Drive and its surrounding roads.
"The fires are not under control and are moving quickly because of the windy conditions, and we have a number of fire vehicles trying to control the fire," said Mniki.
Mniki further added,"The only road that can be used in Glendore road used, all the roads that side are closed. We request everyone to be cautious, and we advise people to avoid that area."
"We have received a report that one of the municipal buildings (a building at a water pump station) has caught fire."
