Gqeberha residents are encouraged to get ready to immerse themselves in the vibrant rhythms and melodies of South Africa like never before, as Pearson High School announces its upcoming production, which started from April 23 and will run until April 27.

Showcasing an array of home-grown hit songs performed by talented musical learners, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.

From the infectious beats of Mango Groove, to the soul-stirring sounds of Umthwalo wam, this musical will take audiences on a cultural adventure through the diverse musical landscapes of South Africa. Expect an electrifying fusion of traditional and contemporary music.

“This production is a celebration of South African music and talent. We have tirelessly curated a line-up that pays homage to the rich musical heritage of our country while showcasing the incredible skills and creativity of our students,” says show director, Linda-Louise Swain, expressing her excitement.

Under the guidance of musical director, Anton Steyn, and his experienced team of music staff, the cast has been diligently perfecting their pieces.

Featuring iconic songs from renowned South African artists and bands, the production is woven together by a quirky narrator who, at times, can’t resist joining in the festivities. This promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience for audiences of all ages. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of South African music or simply seeking a night of unparalleled entertainment, this show is not to be missed.
