Metro police officers recovered drugs with an estimated street value of just over R120 000 on Friday 2 February.
At approximately 14:30, officers on patrol in Goodwood noticed a suspicious vehicle, with two occupants.
According to metro police spokesperson Ruth Solomons they approached the driver and requested permission to search.
Officers found a shopping bag at the passenger’s feet, containing more than 3 000 Mandrax tablets and more than R500 in cash.
Two suspects, aged 29 and 27, were subsequently arrested for the illegal possession of drugs and detained at Goodwood police.
