The holders of the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP) are still fighting a battle on the ground to secure the documentation necessary before the deadline to terminate the permits comes into effect.
The legal process regarding the permissibility to cancel the ZEP is ongoing, with the Minister of Home Affairs Aaron Motsoaledi awaiting a judgment for leave to appeal against a High Court ruling that found his decision to end the ZEPs was "unlawful, unconstitutional, and invalid".
