More than a year after the release of the final instalment of the Zondo Commission's report and Parliament doesn't have a single thing it can show indicating that it could prevent state capture were it to reoccur.
Yet, when Chief Justice Raymond Zondo expressed his concern in this regard two weeks ago, Parliament's presiding officers – National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and National Council of Provinces chairperson Amos Masondo – expressed their collective shock.
