The SABC says there is no evidence to suggest its group executive for news and current affairs, Moshoeshoe Monare, is being targeted by the Presidency. 

The state broadcaster issued a statement on Tuesday refuting a City Press report stating Monare was coerced to embark on a second vetting process or was targeted by the State Security Agency (SSA).

"He has not been asked to go through an unfair second round of vetting and security clearance.
