The Justice, Crime Prevention, and Security cluster will not leave anything to chance in the upcoming elections and will deal with anyone who attempts to disrupt them.
Prosecutors will be on standby to prosecute electoral fraud and corruption offences.
Defence Minister Thandi Modise laid out the security cluster's state of readiness for the 29 May election during a media briefing on Sunday, while Police Minister Bheki Cele told journalists that police task teams dealing with political violence in KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga are working to investigate the most recent incidents in Mpumalanga.
