The ANC is threatening to take the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party to court for trademark infringement if it doesn't change its name and logo. But the party has hit back, calling the ANC a bully.
The MK Party, which is the latest organisation to throw its hat in the ring ahead of the 2024 elections, is supported by former president Jacob Zuma.
Via its attorneys, the ANC wrote a letter to the MK Party's Jabulani Khumalo, arguing that the party's name and logo was likely to take unfair advantage of or be detrimental to the distinctive character of the ANC.
