Former president Jacob Zuma slammed the justice system for not compelling his successor, President Cyril Ramaphosa, to appear in court in his private prosecution case. 

The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Thursday postponed Zuma's private prosecution of Ramaphosa to 6 August 2024.

"We opened a case against the president and, ever since we started these proceedings, he has never come to court. This shows that this is not the country we fought for because they force us to come to court, come dark or blue, that is what the law says.
