Almost six years after the gruesome murder of Durban man Mark Buttle, who was stabbed more than 50 times, his wife has been sentenced to life in prison.

On Friday, the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Durban sntenced Analidia Dosantos, 44, for the February 2018 murder of Buttle in Newlands East, as well as for defeating the ends of justice by reporting a false hijacking.

According to Natasha Ramkisson-Kara, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in KwaZulu-Natal, co-accused Teagen Brown, who was Dosantos' lover, died before the trial began.
