The son of slain anti-apartheid activist Imam Abdullah Haron has thrown his hat into the ring to vie for the position of premier of the Western Cape.
Al Jama-ah has announced Professor Muhammed Haron will be the party's premier candidate ahead of next month's general elections.
Haron's father was tortured to death by the apartheid Security Branch, an inquest ruled last year.
