As school children return to the classrooms for the new academic year, health officials are concerned it could drive up cases of measles, which is highly transmissible.
Five provinces are in the grip of a measles outbreak, and the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has warned that classrooms could be an ideal ground for the further spread of the disease.
The latest figures from the NICD shows that 371 confirmed measles cases have been reported across the country since October. Notably, less than half could be confirmed as vaccinated.
