Former ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule's ex-PA and fellow corruption accused, Moroadi Cholota, was arrested in the United States for the "contravention of immigration laws", an email from a prosecutor involved in the case has revealed.
In the email, sent to Cholota's attorney Victor Nkhwashu, prosecutor Johannes de Nysschen said news of the young woman's arrest on 27 January "came as a big surprise".
"This info was received from an official from Interpol in SA… Apart from the info that she has been arrested on contravention of immigration laws, I have not received any feedback as yet," the prosecutor told the attorney.
