The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) has reported to the police a South African is serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in violation of the Foreign Military Assistance Act (FMAA).

The PSC's Usuf Chikte reported the matter at the Cape Town Central police station on Thursday, alleging, according to the soldier's social media posts, he was taking part in Israel's campaign in Palestine, and Gaza, in particular.

Reportedly, the posts suggested he was "either a volunteer or member of the IDF and that he may be on active duty in the Gaza Strip in occupied Palestine and that he is proud of his role in the IDF".
