The State Attorney and Presidency have launched legal action to force Jacob Zuma to repay R28 960 774 in taxpayer funds spent on his corruption trial defence.
This just months before their court-ordered claim against the former president would have prescribed.
The amount now sought from Zuma is R10 million more than President Cyril Ramaphosa initially claimed had been spent on his legal costs in his arms deal-related corruption, tax evasion and racketeering trial.
