- Two people have been taken in for questioning in Gauteng in connection with a burglary at the SA Rugby Union offices in Cape Town.
- Earlier this week, two suspects stole five signed Springbok jerseys, whisky, eight laptops at one business, as well as 60 laptops from another business.
- Police said the pair would make a court appearance in Cape Town once charged.
Police in Gauteng have taken two suspects in for questioning in connection with the burglary at the SA Rugby Union (SARU) offices in Cape Town.
On Monday night, two men broke into SARU House at the Uys Krige Business Park in Plattekloof and stole SA Rugby paraphernalia and laptops.
According to police, the two men gained entry into one business premises through a window on the ground floor and stole five signed Springbok jerseys, whisky and eight laptops, as well as 60 laptops from another company.

In CCTV footage shared on the social media platform X, the two men are seen walking casually around the SA Rugby offices at about 21:00.
At one point, one of the men is seen handling a trophy, confirmed to be a replica of the Webb Ellis Cup, but he leaves it and rifles through a cupboard below.
Parow police responded to the break-in at the office complex.

SARU said the real Webb Ellis Cup and other valuable trophies were untouched.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Novela Potelwa, said that Serious Violent Crimes Unit detectives had been hard at work pursuing several leads.
"As part of the elaborate investigation that extends beyond the borders of the Western Cape, two suspects have been apprehended in Gauteng and are being questioned with a view to apprehending the perpetrators of the act.
"Once charged, the pair will make a court appearance in Cape Town," she said.
