The DA in the Western Cape said it did not have a "single thing" to hand over to the ANC after the official opposition in the province demanded it hand over all its deployment records - even those dating back to 2009.

Included in the records sought are SMSes, WhatsApp and Telegram messages, emails, and direct Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) messages to structures related to the appointment of public servants and officials in Western Cape municipalities and Western Cape government departments.
