Energy crisis: Wind farms to the rescue | News24

The 138MW Roggeveld Wind Farm in the Karoo was awarded Preferred Bidder status in the latest bid window of the government’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme.

The man behind the project is co-founder of G7 Renewable Energies Dr Killian Hagemann (who also compiled the first comprehensive wind atlas of South Africa in 2008). Killian joins us in studio to tell us about the energy contribution wind farms are making to the national grid. Watch.
