Jewish community fights back after pig incident

Last week the Congress of South African Students (COSAS) placed a pig's head in what was reported to be the Kosher meat section of the Woolworths store in Sea Point, Cape Town.

Cosas claims to support the call by Boycott Divest and Sanctioning Israel (BDSI) not to buy from Woolworths.

This prompted the South African Jewish community to hold a demonstration on Thursday against what they believe are rising levels of antisemitism, intimidation and hate speech against the Jewish Community in SA. Watch.

Retailer Woolworths said it was appalled by the actions of Congress of SA Students members.
