Five households from the Hout Bay valley swapped their privilege and moved a short distance away to cold, tiny 3x3m shacks for the weekend as part of a #MandelaDay initiative.
The shacks are home to victims of the Imizamo Yethu inferno that destroyed hundreds of homes in March, and the families spent two nights living in the shoes of those less fortunate.
