A year ago, Gibson Nzimande was standing on the precipice of despair.
He was living on the streets, pushing his recycling trolley and scavenging through dirt in the streets of Sandton for money - just enough for food. Nzimande had a higher education and a dream that his honours degree would not just be ink on paper.
But, despite the circumstances, his hope for a different fate remained unshaken.
