On Sunday, a woman was hijacked in Eldorado Park while collecting her niece from a residence in Extension 9.
The woman was driving a red Volkswagen Polo hatchback and had parked outside the property when the suspect approached her.
"The complainant further alleges that when she disembarked from her vehicle, an unknown...male asked her for her vehicle's key. He then took out a firearm and pointed it at her," police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, said in a statement.
According to Masondo, the woman said she had thrown the car keys into the vehicle out of fear.

The suspect then got into her car and drove off.
The woman told police that a silver Toyota Corolla was idling nearby, but she could not get the registration number.

A case was opened and police are searching for the suspect.
