South Africa says it is trying to prevent mass starvation in Gaza. But in reality it is abusing legal process to give its ally Hamas an edge in the war, Israel charged in a new legal filing.

SA is also trying to retain the spotlight, Israel said.

Earlier this month, SA again asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for an emergency order on the Hamas-Israel war, saying the court had to intervene by ordering an immediate ceasefire and halting Israel's deliberate starvation of children.
