Robyn de Groot, who enjoyed a successful road cycling career, representing South Africa at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games, took up mountain-biking in 2013 and is already the reigning SA marathon champ. Now she's tackling the Cape Epic. Watch.
Robyn joined us in studio just before the prologue. In part II of the interview, Robyn talks about the different routes year on year, and who to look out for in 2015.
On Sunday, Swiss duo Martin Gujan and Fabian Giger from team Novus OMX Pro won the men's prologue in a time of 46mins 18,3sec, while the winning ladies team was Arianne Kleinhans (Sui) and Annika Langvad (Den) of RECM Specialized in a time of 53.38,7
Monday's stage 1 takes riders through the Elgin Valley, covering a distance of 113km with 2800m of climbing.
