WATCH: Sepp Blatter showered with fake cash at FIFA press conference

As Sepp Blatter prepared to formally announce at a press conference that FIFA was planning to hold presidential elections on Feburary 2016, British comedian Simon Brodkin, better known by the alias Lee Nelson, took centre stage by stepping out in front of Blatter and showering him with fake money. Nelson recently made headlines by invading the stage at Glastonbury as Kanye West performed.

Nelson infiltrated the press conference and after trying to hand a wad of banknotes to Blatter, Nelson said, "Sepp, this is for North Korea in 2026". Blatter immediately summoned security guards to intervene.

Nelson was later pictured on Twitter being driven away in a Swiss police after the press conference was delayed and the fake money was cleaned up by the organizers.
