Kaduna - Suspected gunmen on Sunday, shot dead a Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) personnel, Mr Iliya Chori, in Kaduna.
Chori, till his death was the State Assistant Focal Officer of MDGs, who was deployed from the State Ministry for Health.
The official was trailed by his assailants on a motorcycle to his residence at No. 38 Ohinoyi Road, Ungwan-Rimi, GRA in Kaduna.
The Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Balteh of Kaduna State Police Command, confirmed the incident.
He said that the gunmen did not leave the scene till they were sure that he was dead.
He, however, said that the police were on the trail of the attackers with a view to apprehending them to bring them to justice.
Balteh said the corpse had been taken to the Nigerian Army Reference hospital, Kaduna, and that the police had been to the scene.
